Abstract

The text below is an interview with a union militant from the grassroots union ADL-Cobas (Associazione Diritti dei Lavoratori-Comitati di Base - Association for the Rights of the Workers - Grassroots Union), based in the Veneto region of Italy. It is part of a series of militant/academic interventions on working-class strategy and tactics that have recently been published in different journals. These publications are part of a general attempt to create knowledge relevant to workers’ action and organisation, as promoted by different streams of research oriented to co-produce knowledge with workers, through ethnography and workers’ enquiry methods, and by regular forums and training schools which aim to transfer and exchange knowledge between academics and activists.
